Savings and cash: safety, access and inflation

Published · 19 min

Watch on YouTube

Cash savings provide certainty in pounds and access when money is needed. This UK explainer compares easy-access accounts, notice accounts, fixed-term deposit bonds and Cash ISAs, then builds an emergency-fund framework and works through a hypothetical inflation example.

Current 2026/27 ISA rules are separated from the cash limits due in April 2027. Rules and provider terms should be checked at the time of a decision. General education, rather than an individual account recommendation.
